On February 28, ACS (International) and HVMC celebrated the school's 20th Anniversary alongside the 139th founding anniversary of ACS, highlighting their strong partnership.
Kahoot Quiz
Queuing for bubble tea
Some of the booths included the Wushiland Boba live bubble tea, and the HVMC Kahoot quiz - an exciting and enriching experience which tested participants' knowledge of both the school and church.
To encourage higher participation, prizes were offered - students scoring at least seven out of ten correct answers won a $5 bubble tea voucher. Gabrielle Tan, a Year 1 student who won a voucher commented, “It was a memorable experience and I could really feel the ACS spirit! I had so much fun competing for the prizes!”
The event was a success, judging by the enthusiastic support of many students.
On 2 March, HVMC and ACS (International) celebrated ACS Sunday, with representatives from the school’s Board of Management, Senior leadership team, Peer student leaders, Christian Fellowship leaders and the Parents Prayer Group (PPG).
ACS (lnternational) Principal, Mr Gavin Kinch delivered the sermon, and here is an excerpt:
“On ACS Sunday, I had the privilege of sharing a reflection on the journey of our school, framed by the powerful words of Ecclesiastes 12:1, “Remember your Creator in the days of your youth.” I chose this verse as it was from this passage that Bishop Solomon spoke during the school’s opening ceremony. Faith is not just about belief, it is about action. This is why our school actively supports local outreach initiatives and charities, encouraging students to extend their hearts and hands to those in need through Christian Fellowship, outreach sessions, etc. As we continue this journey together, may we always remember that our strength comes not from ourselves, but from the One who calls us to walk in His wisdom and grace. May we never lose sight of the foundation upon which we build - our Creator.”

Charlotte Goh, an HVMC member commented:
“It was heartwarming to see so many students, parents and senior staff. I hope the relationship between church and school continues to grow closer and that we, as a church, can continue to support them. After all, ACS (International) is the key mission field for HVMC!”
Shane, an ACS (International) alumnus worshipping at HVMC, was encouraged by the service proceedings:
"It's nice to see the church-school family together and it's a blessing how far we have come.”
Christina Kok, Chairperson of PPG shared:
“We are deeply grateful for the HVMC partnership, as we are called to gather in unity, lifting our hearts in prayer for the school and the church.”
After the service there was a fellowship lunch for all at the school’s Student Centre.
We give thanks to God for the blessed celebrations!
